The Child Abuse Prevention Center decided to refresh the look and feel of their printed invites for this yearly event. The event is being held at a course near the beach so I opted for a watercolor paper effect to hint at this aspect of the fundraiser’s location.
Exhibition and Promotional Design
This Getty exhibition featured current research about materials used to produce the enticing colors that often enliven manuscripts.
I created the title identity, as well as the promotional and didactic graphics for the exhibition.
A Journal of Investigative Living
For this speculative publication, I created a monthly, national magazine about eco-living and urban design.
With a few exceptions, the images and articles used were gathered through Internet research. The design layouts and mockups are mine.
Specialty Food Packaging
"La Ruche" or "beehive" is a line of specialty honey. The packaging was designed to evoke the inherently luxurious nature of honey. A number of separate elements were inspired by hexagons, including the shape of the box and the abstracted floral patterns.
Tough to Get To, Tougher to Explain. But Once You Get Here, You Get It.
Inspired by an existing slogan for the art destination of Marfa, TX, my project partner and I developed a brand identity and marketing campaign for the city.
The logo we developed represents the mix of art, history, and natural beauty that the city embodies.
The logo served as a starting point for a visitor campaign that eventually encompassed a redesigned web presence, printed brochures, and souvenir merchandise.
Images were sourced from online research. The design and concepts were executed by myself and Daria Trubitsnya.
Poster and Postcard Design
The directive for this piece was to create a giveaway for patrons attending a one-night-only performance.
There was a desire to avoid using any imagery of the band itself for the giveaway. Because the band is heavily influenced by film, I ultimately decided to use an old movie stub as a central image.
Design for Retail
This youth T-shirt was inspired by the Getty Center's tram and has become a bestseller in the museum store.
Its popularity and bold graphics inspired spin-off products including a youth wristwatch, for which I created the packaging inserts, as well as a forthcoming sippy cup.
Logo and Printed Collateral
For this project, artist Alan Nakagawa created interactive sculptures in response to conversations with a museum conservator, curator, and educator about mythology and misperceptions about the study of antiquities. The audio interviews were available to the public through various methods.
I was asked to develop a logo that would be used in both digital and print materials for this special project at the Getty Villa.
Exhibition and Promotional Design
This Getty exhibition featured historic and contemporary photographs exploring the effect electricity has had on society as a whole.
I was responsible for designing the exhibition identity, the promotional and gallery graphics, as well as the exhibition layout.
