Growing Good, Inc. works hand-in-hand with non-profit organizations and start-ups to provide expert guidance on grant making work. My goal was to develop a brand identity that communicates the mission their work while capturing the youthful and scrappy approach of the group, and also highlighting how the company is dedicated to partnering with organizations to improve our world, create new systems, and build new things.
It was a joy to get back in touch with my exhibition design skills with Sympoiesis—an exhibition exploring how the making of clothing has shaped our relationship to the land, our bodies, and each other. The graphics and texts were a major component of the show, and required careful consideration of visual hierarchies, typography, and what I can only describe as creating the right “visual texture” for a visitor.
Happier Hour is a wellness-at-work program launched by Dr. Robyn Engelman in 2019. Her team had taken steps to develop part of a logo and I came onboard and refined and integrated that imagery into the final branding for the company, while also helping Happier Hour to create a broader brand profile.
Textile Arts | Los Angeles sponsors a yearly summit exploring ideas and concepts related to textile arts and production. With the digital and print assets, I aim to link the event visually to the branding of the group, but also provide a visual identity for the event that will stand on its own.
The In-N-Out Burger foundations work to create stronger and safer communities, giving back 100% of funds raised through their activities. Over several years, I worked in concert with their foundation teams to create event identities for annual fundraisers, starting with printed invites and then rolling these designs out for related event websites, bidding apps, and other event collateral.
Textile Arts | Los Angeles is a professional organization that cultivates and promotes textile art and design. In 2018, the group launched an effort to offer members with more robust programming, and to encourage new artists to join the group. As part of these efforts, I rebranded and refreshed the look of their website, designed new business cards for their board members, and created print and digital promotional collateral.
